Grandma and Watermelon

At Mt. Graham this past 4th of July, Grandma gave us a wonderful devotional. She wants us to think of WATERMELON as our family creed, our motto, something that will keep us together.
Why watermelon? It's yummy and easy to remember. But that is not all. WATERMELON stands for a lot more. Hopefully, the Weech family can remember to apply WATERMELON to our daily lives. It is a reminder to live life from our highest self. We do have the power to create and change events by what you believe. (And we have the Gospel of Jesus Christ as our foundation!!)

W - WHATEVER you believe creates your reality. Believe that life is a positive experience and it will be
A - ATTITUDE is the magic word. Your greatest asset is your attitude. Be positive regardless.
T - TOGETHER everyone achieves more. There are no limits to what we can accomplish together. "I am more than I am but less that WE are".
E - ENTHUSIASM is the wellspring of life. There is no limit to what can be accomplished with enough enthusiasm
R - RESPECT yourself, as well as others. When you begin to respect yourself, your whole world changes
M - MAKE commitments, not excuses. There is overwhelming power in the words "YES I WILL!"
E - EVERYDAY can be a fun day. Fun is the lubricant that keeps life moving forward. Laugh a lot
L - LOVE is the answer. Whatever the question, LOVE is the answer. It's the greatest force in the Universe.
O - ONE day at a time. How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time. All of life happens in increments of one.
N - NEVER give up or become a victim. You are guaranteed to lose if you give up. Winston Churchill was right, "Never, never, never give up." It works if you work it.

Story in Photos - Patriotic Edition

I found this contest of photos that portray what patriotism is. This photo speaks volumes as you look at the faces of these young men as they carefully prepare the flag. Grandpa would be proud!

4th of July - 200th Post!

What a fun way to celebrate my 200th post! For the 4th of July Holiday, our Weech family traditionally traveled up to Mt. Graham and spent the weekend at Columbine with family and friends. Here is a small picture tribute to a wonderful weekend.

God bless America, - especially places that are one - of - a - kind

Land that I love, - who wouldn’t fall in love with a place like Columbine

Stand beside her and guide her - with patriotism running thru each of our hearts

Thru the night with a light from above; - strengthening family is such a big part.

From the mountains, to the prairies, - these mountains and its’ memories are not few

To the oceans white with foam, - Each day brings something fun to do

God bless America, - God bless our Family

My home, sweet home. - Our home, sweet Home

God bless America, - God bless our Family

My home, sweet home. - We are never alone.
